Aston, through Aston Realty Investment Company (ARIC), has closed on the purchase of Brookdale Shopping Center, a grocery-anchored retail destination located at 9641 Brookdale Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina. The transaction closed on October 22, 2025, and was facilitated by Berkeley Capital Advisors. The property was originally developed in 2004 by a partnership which included the Blumenthal family, who have owned the land for generations. The Blumenthal family is continuing their commitment to the property by partnering with Aston in this acquisition.
Anchored by Harris Teeter, Brookdale Shopping Center serves as a key retail hub for the surrounding community and features a mix of national and local tenants that contribute to its long-term stability and performance.
With the addition of Brookdale Shopping Center, ARIC continues to expand its portfolio of high-quality, necessity-based retail centers across the Southeast.
